Workshops
Held is a monthly workshop series bringing psychodynamic thinking into direct contact with the body. Each session takes one theme and works with it through talk, movement, quiet creative reflection, and a closing sharing circle.
Each session stands on its own, so you’re welcome at any point. The themes also build, so coming to more than one deepens the work.

The Held Series
The first session, Boundaries — Where the Body Meets the Self, explores how we hold our edges: where we let people in, where we hold firm, and where we might collapse without realising it.
The second session, Holding On, Letting Go, explores what happens at those edges over time: what we grip, what we’re afraid to put down, and what it costs to keep holding on.
The third session, The Inner Critic, explores the voice that judges us: where it came from, what it was originally protecting, and why arguing with it never works.
No experience is needed, and nothing is compulsory — you’re welcome to take part fully, or simply observe and reflect.
This is a workshop, not a therapy session — a space for insight and connection, open to anyone curious about themselves.
Who can attend: Suitable for everyone – no experience is needed

If something in a session opens up more than an afternoon can hold, that’s what one-to-one work is for. I offer psychodynamic counselling in Hertford, Stevenage and online.
